Yield refers to a stock or bonds dividend as it relates to its price. If a stock traded at $50 and paid an annual dividend of $5 it would yield 10%
As it pertains to Commercial Properties
In realestate the yield is usually calculated on annual passing rent also known as net return. However there are many different types of yield when looking at a property, make sure when comparing properties you are using the same definition of yield.
